New 08 Dually D/A
Well I finally took the plunge and bought a 08 D/A 3500 Dually .Now I have to reinstall my Fifth wheel hitch,HELP. I bought a new rail kit and went to the reese site and tried to get the instructions on installing it.The site says nothing found for the 08.Does anybody know where I can get these instructions.I dont want to wing it I'd rather have the instructions to get the measurements right. Thanks

08 GMC
Well with the Employee pricing I'm looking at a 08 GMC DRW with the D/A.I currently have a 01 Chevy DRW 8.1 that pulls my Rapter very well,but I've been considering a Diesel for a long while.After pulling my Rapter from Md. to Myrtle beach and only getting between 6.2 and 7.5 MPGs (LEAD FOOT) I started thinking even harder about a D/A.What kind of MPGs can I expect out of this combo its a crew cab 3.73 rears? I like my Gasser but it also is getting a lot of miles on it and though diesel is higher I think except for the payment that its a good time to make the switch.What do ya think?

8.1 Chevy
What kind of weight do you tow with your 8.1.I have a 01 Silverado Dually with 110,000 and just traded my 96 Coachmen 285 Royal for a 08 Rapter 3612DS that dry weighs 11,900.Any body towing same or close to the same weight.What kind of MPG can I expect? I did get 9.5 to 10 with the Coachmen but it weight less.

Will my truck tow it?
I'm looking at a 08 3612DS raptor,I think the deal is good but am wondering will my 01 Silverado 3500 DRW with the 8.1 manuel tranny pull it alright? I currently have a 96 Coachmen fifthwheel that dry weight is 8600lbs. and it really tows it with ease. The Raptor dry weight is 11,500lbs.

If ya want a gasser get the8.1 Chevy.I dont know how the guy in the previose post only got 6 MPG out of his 8.1.I get between 8 and 10.5 pullin 10,000 plus at 75MPH.I will slow down now with $4.00 a gallon prices but all in all I love my 8.1

Can anybody give me good directions to Ocean Lakes Campground (Myrtle Beach) from the Hagerstown Maryland area. Havent been there for many years I imagine some routes are better now .
